English version

10th Degree's album, "Bad Dreams", conjures a Heroes Bowie ghost mixed with 80's Jovi rock spun into a raw and well produced web of hook-laden rock and roll. Influences of Lennon vocal phrasings and cry-baby guitar licks push the classic five-piece band. The combination results in poppy rock and roll. Instrumentation is guitar-based and the two guitar combination scores a hit in track 3's "Take a Ride". The minor-based tune is compelling musically and the vocal performance, slightly saturated in reverb, makes for a dream-like harmony musical experience and chorus. Track 6, "Love That I Found", is the most musically ambitious on the album and approaches flavors of progressive rock with the keyboard bell tones and breaks. The chorus scores, 'no matter where i go you'll always be my guide, there's something you should know, it's you that runs my life". The final track, "We'll Leave", ends in a fitting showcase of the guitar talent within the band. The last two minutes includes an eighth-note staccato distorted guitar section that moves into a solo supported by a compelling progression and then it's done. The 9-song collection is a fitting throwback to rock of ages, while the mix of style feels new and vocal delivery convincing. We look forward to more.
10TH DEGREE | Bad Dreams

It seems impossible to believe these days that a guy with a passion for music could make the impossible decision to drop everything (family, friends, a good job) and move to Los Angeles in search of fortune for himself and his band. In fact, this is exactly what Marco Tricca , guitarist for the Italian band 10th Degree, did.

The group, which quickly landed in the “MySpace Top 10 Emerging Bands” in November 2006, plays melodic hard rock similar to the old Bon Jovi style with fantastic arrangements and a touch of modernism in the production. The result, although not first-rate, proves this five-member band has talent. Rising above everything is the excellent voice of Cesare Rosini, expressive, emotional and bold, characteristics perfect for this type of music.

“Bad Dream,” “Why Can’t You Feel It,” “I’ve Gotta Know,” “Love That I Found,” “You’ll See” and “We’ll Leave” are the best tracks, although not to be forgotten is the power ballad “Love and Shadow” (“My Confession”), where Rosini really shines. The true pearl of the album is “Run in the Shadow,” a track so intense and powerful that it rivals the hits of some of the most famous bands. 10th Degree with a serious contract and a good producer could take off into rock history.

10th Degree – “Bad dreams”

Thanks to some internet scouts i came to know about 10th degree, Italians by birth who have recently relocated to the US. The band is about American rock, and I would recommend them to Bon Jovi fans, specifically those who are not so enthusiastic about their latest releases.

The merits go first to the voice of Cesare Rosini, confident and passionate on all 9 tracks.
It also has to be said that Marco Tricca, Massimo e Giuseppe Sergiacomo and the drummer Vincenzo Fiorile are not rookies. They have a great deal of experience among them with various Italilan artists.

There is little to say in the way of criticism about such songs on the album as “Why Can’t You Feel It,” “I’ve Got to Know,” “Love That I Found” and “We’ll Leave,” but above all “Run In the Shadow” could be a candidate for Single of the Year. This song, if it had been sung by Bon Jovi, would now be at the top of the charts.

To talk about “Bad Dreams” as a demo is not enough because the duration of the album, the audio quality and the quality of the arrangements are professional. The time is now to buy this CD.
The band is currently preparing a second album, and I would be surprised to discover if they could top this first one. This is one of the greatest albums that I’ve got my hands on in the past few years. Well done! (WB)

Description and Definition of Commercial Radio Tests

All tests were done within the commercial mainstream radio markets. Radio stations participating in test are commercially reporting radio stations to NMW (New Music Weekly), FMQB (FM Quarterback), BDS (Billboard), Music Row and R&R (Radio & Records).

Purpose of test: To provide contrasting and supplementary data based on actual radio testing research. Loggins Promotion provides objective test data from the mainstream demographic. Conventional mainstream charts are composed of programmer opinions based on research or personal taste; Music industry national charts show what music mainstream audiences are exposed to, not necessarily what they prefer. These tests are not a test of familiarity, but a test of music acceptability to the target audiences.

Cause of test: It may reveal programmer enthusiasm, or potential of substantial airplay with promotional efforts. Appealing singles are often overlooked by program directors, which in turn are overlooked by listeners. A promotion campaign of your music secures regular rotation of your music, which in turn charts your single nationwide.

Ratings: Ratings are based upon a one, two, three and four star basis. We strongly recommend promoting songs with three or four star rating; they have great potential to become a "standard" for the target audience and with target radio stations. Songs with a two star rating aren't as strong, but have solid programming value, and we also do recommend promoting them as "follow up" singles or at least re-testing at a later date. Songs testing one star are "borderline", few negatives, but few positives at this point. These singles are worth keeping around for possible re-testing.

10TH DEGREE - Bad Dreams - 2006 (Autoprodotto)

10th Degree – “Bad dreams”

C’è poco da commentare di fronte a un lotto di canzoni formalmente inattaccabili quali “Why can’t you feel it”, “I’ve got to know” , “Love that i found” , “ We’ll leave”, ma su tutte “Run in the shadow” che si candida come uno dei singoli dell’anno, e parlo a livello generale,

sentire negli ultimi anni, bravissimi davvero! (WB)
